Kathmandu University (KU) calls for application for admission in Undergraduate Programs in School of Science (SoS) and School of Engineering (SoE) for the academic year 2025/2026. Candidates are required to appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT), in either PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), according to their choice of academic program. The Entrance Exam will be conducted in the mode of Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Applicants must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with:
- Minimum GPA of 2.0 or 50% aggregate marks or equivalent
- A-Level: Minimum 3 A-level subjects and 1 AS-level with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) combination. Whenever percentage uniform mark (PUM) criteria are provided, then, aggregate 50% in percentage scale will be applicable. If PUM is not provided, Grade D in PCB/PCM/PMCs will be applicable
- IB Diploma: Minimum 6 subjects with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science) combination. Students must have a final IB grade of 3 in each course separately

CTEVT Diploma Holders: Eligible for related disciplines, subject to equivalent percentage criteria.
Foreign Boards:Must present equivalence from the KU authority at admission
- Applicants must appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT) Computer-Based Test (CBT 2025) (except for Bachelor in Health Informatics, and Bachelor in Heritage Conservation) in either PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) test group
- Students from the Biology stream must have taken and passed Additional Mathematics for PCM test eligibility.
- Candidates awaiting Grade 12 results may apply for provisional admission, subject to meeting requirements
