SoE/SoS-Call For Application For Admission In Undergraduate Programs-2021

Kathmandu University (KU) calls for application for admission in Undergraduate Programs in School of Science (SoS) and School of Engineering (SoE) for the academic year 2021/2022. Candidates are required to appear in the Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT), in either PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), according to their choice of academic program. The Entrance Exam will be conducted in the mode of Computer Based Test (CBT). Admission offer list will be published on merit basis.

Eligibility Criteria and CBT Test Group For Admission
  • In order to be fully eligible for admission, candidates must have passed 10+2 level (or equivalent) with an additional requirement of minimum marks or grade in aggregate and individual subjects as specified for individual programs.
  • Candidates who have passed all courses of grade XI and have appeared/applied for the final exams of grade XII and are awaiting the results can apply for the KUCAT CBT 2021.

  • BSc (Computational Mathematics)

  • Must have taken PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PMCs (Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
  • Minimum grade of C individually in each course.


    OR

  • If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCM or PMCs and minimum 50% in total aggregate.
 PCM
  • BTech (Biotechnology)
  • BSc (Environmental Science)
  • Must have taken PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) or PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
  • Minimum grade of C individually in each course.


    OR

  • If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCM or PCB and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

BSc (Agriculture)
  • Must have taken PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) in both XI and XII (or equivalent)
  • Minimum grade of C individually in each course.

  • If the student has been evaluated in percentage system, minimum 50% in aggregate of PCB and minimum 50% in total aggregate.

* Please note that, under present circumstances of COVID 19 pandemic, there may be changes in schedules, deadlines, mode of entrance and evaluation schemes. Changes will be timely notified through the University website and application portal.
Note: Payment Verification will take approximately 5 to 7 business days after completion of application form. Verification process will be continued even after the last date of registration.

eSewa
  1. Login to e-Sewa portal(https://esewa.com.np) or use e-Sewa mobile application
  2. If you are using web version, then
    • Go to "School & College" Category
    • Select "College" section
    • Search "KU Entrance Fee Payment" and Click on it
    • Filled all information and make payment
    • After successfull payment, you will get payment detail. Copy the Reference Code and provide it in the application form.
  3. If you are using mobile application, then
    • Click School Fee (icon)
    • Select 'College Fee payment'
    • Search 'KU Entrance Fee Payment' in the search box
    • Click on 'KU Entrance Fee Payment'
    • Filled all information. Provide same email as you have registered for application form.
    • Make Payment. After successfull payment, you will get payment detail. Copy the Transaction Code and provide it in the application form.
Khalti
  1. Login to khalti portal(https://khalti.com) or use khalti mobile application
  2. Click on Bazar
  3. Search KU Entrance Fee Payment and Click on it
  4. Filled all information.Provide same email as you have registered for application form.
  5. Make Payment. After successfull payment, you will get payment detail. Copy the Unique ID (not a Transaction ID) and provide it in the application form.
Bank (NIBL)
  1. Visit any branch of Nepal Investment Bank Ltd. and deposit NRs. 1500/- in the following details

    Account Number: 00501030250009
    Branch: Banepa
  2. Applicant's name needs to be indicate in the voucher.
  3. Take a clear picture of the voucher and upload it in the application form.
Note:
Don’t make payment using Bank Transfer Mode from eSewa and khalti or through Internet Banking / Mobile Banking Mode. Only use the method as mentioned above. Other method of transfer may not be considered as valid transfer.
